APPLICATION
This unit's frame and door are designed to be taped and jointed/skimmed when fitted within plasterboard lined applications for metal track systems, timber stud walls or concrete blockwork.
DESCRIPTION
This access panel has a plasterboard faced door and is supplied with a beaded frame for plaster skim on site to fully conceal the access panel. The panel has a mini piano hinge system welded to the door and bolted to the frame when assembled. The panel is fitted with 3-point locking as standard, but other locking options are available.
MATERIALS AND FINISHES
Intrepid access panels are manufactured from 1.2mm thick Zinc plated mild steel (BS EN 10025) for maximum rigidity. Stainless steel finishes are also available. The Access panels are painted in a polyester powder coating (BS EN 12206-1:2004) – White - RAL 9010 textured, as standard. This paint texture blends well with your plastered painted walls and can be overpainted with ease. Other colours are available to match your finished area.

Note: This access panel has been tested and assessed for 2300mm x 620mm, sizes manufactured over this size would be constructed to the same design.

INSTALLATION
Intrepid supply installation instructions in the form of labels on the rear of the doors. The label will have the relevant certification standard that it complies to clearly marked. Any beaded areas for plaster skim must have scrim tape applied to the area before plastering. As part of our quality system, you will also find on the label, the identity mark of the quality inspector, who has done the final checks on your product.
