APPLICATION
Fire rated meter over box which can be retro-fitted to cover internal and external gas or electricity meters. Provides a clean aesthetic solution to unsightly meter covers.
DESCRIPTION
Surface mounted over box operating on a fully concealed pivot hinge and with concealed fixing points. Operated using a standard meter box key. Fully powder coated and able to take an on-site paint finish as standard or supplied with a specific RAL colour on request. Available in a range of sizes and depths.
MATERIALS AND FINISHES
Intrepid access panels are manufactured from 1.2mm thick Zinc plated mild steel (BS EN 10025) for maximum rigidity. Stainless steel finishes are also available. The Access panels are painted in a polyester powder coating (BS EN 12206-1:2004) - White - RAL 9010 textured, as standard. This paint texture blends well with your plastered painted walls and can be overpainted with ease. Other colours are available to match your finished area.

Note: Maximum frame size is 1000mm x 1000mm. Frame depth from 50mm up to 100mm.

INSTALLATION
The over box is surface mounted on to the wall and fixed through pre-punched holes in the frame using suitable fixings for the wall type. The frame is supplied with intumescent strips applied to the rear face, so no additional sealant is required. Not suitable for meters with surface mounted wiring.
